2016 sure looks like a ravishing year for Sports. Hopefully, India gets to take home a lot of laurels. Here’s a list of sporting events where India needs us :
- 2016 ICC WORLD T20:
Dates: 8 March – 3 April

Cricket comes back to India this summer but even bigger this time. With 16 teams battling it out in this edition, it’s going to be one amazing ride. Are you all curious about who is gonna take the dazzling trophy home? So are we. Of course, it’s T20 and it could be anybody’s game. Let’s wait and watch.

- ROLAND GARROS 2016:
Dates: 22 May – 5 June
Venue: Paris, France

- 2016 MEN’S HOCKEY CHAMPIONS TROPHY:
Dates: 4 June – 12 June

The 36th edition of the Men’s Hockey Champions Trophy will be played in 2016. The tournament is set to be played between 6 teams. Germany, Argentina, Australia and South Korea are the 4 teams that have qualified directly for the tournament. The other two teams will be nominated by the FIH Executive Board. Get ready for some Hockey Action coming your way !
- UEFA EURO 2016:
Dates: 10 June – 10 July
Here comes the Footballlll extravaganza ! The 15th edition of the UEFA European Championship is all set to be contested with the pool being expanded upto 24 teams this year. Defending Champions Spain will be expecting to gain their momentum back after a Horrific World cup 2014 tour. Will Germany dethrone the rest of the teams, once again? Will France experience a Glorious home triumph? Keep calm and wait until June kicks in!
- 2016 SUMMER OLYMPICS:
Dates: 5 August – 21 August
Venue: Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

And the biggie! Rio 2016 is gonna rock the Sporting World. As the first South American city to ever host the Summer Olympics, Rio has already entered the Record books. With 206 nations participating in 306 events, the Summer Olympics is sure to keep us all entertained. Our Indian Contingent comprising Deepika Kumari, Mangal Singh Champia, Sandeep Kumar, Tintu Luka, Gagan Narang, Apurvi Chandela, the Men’s & Women’s Hockey team and the rest are definitely to watch out for in this edition.
