How To Prepare Yourself Before Running Your Marathon?

First Marathons are always special. You have no idea what you are going to be doing in it but still you choose to run it, only because we wanted to try it out. It’s a good thing that you chose to do it. But there are a few pointers you need to keep in mind before running your first marathons. Well, we aren’t gonna suggest you any “Train hard” stuff, it is something that every layman can do just to make sure your body is in a healthy and fit state before you take your first run.

1) Drink Green Tea

Drinking green tea on a regular basis and throughout the day is one of the easiest and most effective ways to boost your metabolism.

Drink green tea

Sipping on 3 to 5 cups of tea every day can help you drastically cut down the amount of glucose that is converted to stored fats. This is primarily due to the fact that green tea helps to curb insulin spikes, reducing the risk of fat storage.

This isn’t so hard right?

2) Build Muscle

Don’t you wanna look more stud like and impress a bunch of those people running alongside you? Just kidding!

Building muscle tones down your body and helps you run better. This also removes extra fat and contributes to fitness.

3) Eat Lots Of Protein

Protein fills you up faster than most other nutrients, and it’s necessary for those trying to build muscle.

But did you know that protein also helps to boost your metabolism?

And to digest protein, your body must burn a lot more calories than it normally would digest fats or carbs. Take advantage of this fact by amping up the protein content in your diet. Food like dal, channa, tofu, and soy are all rich in protein and free from the trans fatty acids that come with animal protein.

4) Reduce Stress Levels

Whether it’s a daily meditation break, a walk in the park, or a night out with friends, include some stress-relieving activity in your daily routine.

When you’re stressed, the brain releases a hormone called cortisol, which has been linked to weight gain and lower levels of metabolism. Perhaps it has something to do with the fact that cortisol limits protein absorption, causing your metabolic rate to drop.

Besides all these factors listed above, one thing is essential; you must get an adequate amount of exercise.

It’s pretty much simple. Just keep your body hydrated and healthy. Do simple exercises and prepare your muscles for the run. You are gonna have an amazing “First Marathon” experience.
