5 Extreme adventure Sports list that will make you scream | Playo

EXTREME ADVENTURE SPORTS LIST | Every sport comes with its own set of risks. You can sprain an ankle while playing football or injure your elbow during a few rounds of tennis. But athletes who play field sports are prone to minor injuries like these; it’s all part of the game.

Adventure sports, on the other hand, take the risk factor to a whole new level. Some activities can even be lethal if performed without supervision.

Here are 4 adventure sports that scream DANGER!

1) Wingsuit Flying

Zipping through the air at 200km an hour sounds like fun, doesn’t it? And it probably is for most people brave enough to attempt the extreme sport of Wingsuit diving.

wingsuit dive

Divers don an outfit called a Wingsuit that adds surface area to the body, allowing the wind to lift you up as you soar through the air. As exciting as it sounds, Wingsuit diving is extremely risky. Serious injuries and even death are common in this sport, and unless you’re a trained professional, it’s best to steer clear.

2) Bull Riding

Considered an art by most participants, bull riding is a rodeo sport that results in numerous casualties. Contestants climb onto the bull, which is released into a pen and allowed to rampage for a specified period of time. The rider who stays on longest wins.

This sport is dangerous because the 800 kg bull is constantly bucking and trying to throw of the rider. So if you aren’t tossed to the ground and trampled underfoot, you’re likely to get your face smashed in by the body of the bull.

3) Mountain Climbing

Don’t mistake mountain climbing for trekking, because they’re nothing alike!

Here, you’ll be climbing some of the largest rocks in the world using grappling hooks and a variety of other equipment. It’s not hard to imagine the number of things that could go wrong during a climb.

Climbers often return (if at all) with sprained ankles, injured backs, and broken bones. An inexperienced climber may even experience altitude sickness, frostbite, and concussions. After a certain point, it’s impossible to predict the weather on the mountain, and this can lead to people getting stranded or lost in snowstorms, mist, or heavy rains.

If you ever decide to climb, be sure to hire a guide to help you through the entire journey.

4) Banzai Skydiving

This crazy sport is perhaps the most dangerous one out there.

Divers take a plane to an altitude of 10,000 feet before jumping out of the aircraft. Simple, right?

The only catch is, with Banzai skydiving you have to toss your parachute out first, wait for two seconds and jump after it! In the air, you must grab your parachute, strap it on, and pull the cord while plummeting towards the ground.

While the chances of a fatality are quite high, you’ll find many people across the world who are fans of this extreme sport.

Take It Easy

Besides mountain climbing, the other sports are far too dangerous to attempt, even with adequate training.

But this doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy extreme sports! There are a ton of regular extreme sports out there where the risk of injury may be high, but you’re sure to survive at the end of the day.

Just be sure to attempt these activities with the help of a trained professional.
