Just three years into its existence, Bengaluru FC has resonated with the young, football loving crowd of Bengaluru and how. From West Block Blues to fans getting BFC on their haircuts to tattoos and now a couple travelling all the way to Qatar for a final; Bengaluru FC has made all the right noises in its nascent stage of existence, albeit it doesn’t seem so.

A couple from the city of Bengaluru- Harsha Gururajrao and Amitha Babu after shouting out their lungs in the Kanteerava stadium have followed suit with their club Bengaluru FC as they prepare a trip to Doha, Qatar for the AFC Cup final. Atleast Bengaluru FC cannot complain of having no fans there.

The couple are believed to have already packed their bags in excitement and have been counting days to the 5th of November ever since their visas were approved.

As crazy fan stories have it, Amitha, who used to just tune in to European Football and FIFA World Cups before marriage has been ever since fulfilling every promise made while on those 7 turns (as a football fan would call it) being with her husband in his all. So much so that Amitha even accompanied Harsha to the Kanteerava stadium for the Bengaluru FC home matches.

Such was the magic of the club and the fans and the atmosphere that Amitha fell in love with the club in no time. On being asked what made her a BFC Faithful Supporter, she said,

The way the Club treat their fans is just emphatic, truly exceptional.

Harsha who has been following the club closely ever since existence shared the journey of his love story with the club claiming:

The club attracts their fans by making us feel an integral part of the club. It’s full of positive energy. Being a part of West Block Blues is not just watching the match; we volunteer, we paint, we make posters, we contribute in whatever capacity we can.

This is not it, the lady Amitha is already preparing for the team’s touchdown post the final, hopefully as the AFC Cup Champions. Amitha is wasting no time in managing activities and coordinating the same with the West Block Blues.

The couple don’t stop here. They, along with 30 odd other travelling fans are ensuring the stadium has a sea of Blue come 5th of November as they are set to carry Bengaluru FC merchandise for the club’s fans in the Gulf in wake of overpowering the Iraqi fans.

There are a lot of Indians in the Gulf region. We are in touch with all the Indian communities. They have even asked us to carry Club merchandises for them. I assume, in terms of numbers, we can outnumber the Iraqi fans.

This is just a part of the special journey of Bengaluru FC and a result of their numerous efforts of fan acquisition and engagement. Giving the fans a feeling of being an integral part of the club, Bengaluru FC have ensured that they shall never walk alone and the efforts only make it imminent that the numbers shall rise.

Hopefully, we have another Bengaluru FC bus parade post the 5th with the Blues crowned the AFC Champions.

Good Luck Bengaluru FC!

Are you also a fan of the Blues? Are you backing them? Share your preparations for the final.
